Senior – Staff Level Python Engineers / HealthTech / $140k - $220k / Fully remote (US)

I am excited to be working with a HealthTech organisation that has a mission to improve the health and wellbeing of millions throughout the US. 2022 is a huge year for them as they look to grow the engineering team by 50+. They are kicking off with 4 Backend hires, 2x Senior and 2x Staff.

About the company…

The organisation was founded ten years ago by an individual that identified that other than seeing and therapist and seeking medication, there were very little options to improve certain areas of your health and wellbeing. After years of research, they decided to design and build small therapeutic applications which enabled individuals to get guidance and put together a plan in order for them to get their wellbeing back on track.

They currently have 2 key products that are tackling separate areas of healthcare and have huge vision for growth to become a leader within the healthcare industry.

The company have grown to around 190 people, they have secured well in excess on $50 million whilst making a comfortable profit. Their mission runs through every employee, and they ensure that everyone is looked after throughout the company which is reflected in a permanent remote first approach.

The role…

The engineering team currently sits at 50 and as mentioned, they are looking to grow that by at least another 50 throughout 2022. They have recently broken down the engineering team into a pod structure, each one managing a separate product, and all are bought together by a centralised pod focusing on their core engineering.

These four positions sit within the core engineering team and is designed to build services that support the wider engineering team. You will be responsible for a variety of projects including, building API’s and microservices, scaling the content management systems as it grows and, designing and implementing new features to their core system which will enable other pods to thrive.

Given the flexibility of the role and the need to work across multiple cross functional teams daily, they do need individuals that are confident and have the ability to collaborate within fast paced environments. This team is key to the company’s success, and this is a huge opportunity to have an impact on both the growth of the organisation as well as the positive impact on the nation’s health and wellbeing.

Below is a snapshot of the key skills required:

• Python
• Flask or Django
• AWS
• Docker
• PostgreSQL
• RabbitMQ or similar would be beneficial
• Solid unit testing experience
• HealthTech experience would be advantageous
• Excellent communication skills

On offer is a salary between $140,000 - $220,000 depending on location and seniority, along with 100% coverage of healthcare, 401k, training budgets and more.

Again, this is a remote position, but you will need to be based in the US and have the right to work in the US.
