THE COMPANY

I am working with a global analytics and IoT start-up company who provide their clients with revolutionary products to help drive productivity and profitability levels by measuring metrics. They were established around 5 years ago and during that time have grown to around 60 people and have runway for the next 3 years. As a result of continuous growth, the company are now seeking a Backend Engineer to join their engineering team of 14 people. Their mission to revolutionize the heavy goods industry and ultimately reduce carbon emissions. Their working policy is extremely flexible, most engineers choose to travel to their office weekly, but this is not mandatory. You will be expected to go onsite at least once per month to attend team meetings but outside of this you can work remotely from anywhere within the UK.

 

THE ROLE

The company are searching for an experienced Golang Engineer to join their engineering team. You will be working on the core platform team closely alongside 8 talented engineers in building their groundbreaking platform. You must have some experience working with Golang as you will be building and deploying services using Go with CI/CD pipelines which connect with the database. A large part of this role will consist of processing, preparing and manipulating data. The role will be client facing as the products will be designed and built to suit the customer’s needs.

 

KEY SKILLS

  • 3-5 years’ experience with software engineering
  • 2 years’ experience with Golang
  • Experience with Kubernetes & Docker is desirable.
  • Experience with GCP stack is desirable
  • Experience working within a start-up is desirable

 

The role offers a salary between £60,000 - £95,000 including benefits such as 30 days holiday, private healthcare and more.

 

Their interview process is streamline with 3 stages; an initial 30 minute HR call, the second stage will be a 60 minute technical interview with the CTO followed by a final stage 30 minute meet the team call!
