Job description
Backend Engineer - Node/TypeScript - Remote - £60,000 - £80,000
This is a genuinely unique opportunity to work on a product which is revolutionising the way in which software engineers manage an existing codebase!
Tell me about the role
You’ll be joining the team as a Backend Engineer – working within a team of four developers. One of these will be a mid-level engineer who you’ll be working closely with.
One of the main things you’ll be working on is setting up & managing a number of complex integrations with external platforms, to ensure the product is available to as many users as possible. Your role will have a big focus on system design & architecture – so hopefully this is something you’re comfortable with!
The stack you’ll be working with includes: Node.js, TypeScript, Kubernetes, Docker, GitHub etc
It’s worth noting that this will be a purely backend focused role, as their teams are currently split between FE & BE!
Tell me about the business
Their product is used by some huge technology businesses to help them reduce the time it takes to find & resolve issues within existing codebases. It integrates with all of the key project management & code editing tools which makes it incredibly accessible.
They’ve just gone through a funding round at the start of 2022 & are aiming to go through Series A by the end of the year too! The team is ten in size currently but they’re looking to increase this to 15 during the year.
They operate on a fully remote basis & are happy to hire anyone who lives within a 2-3hr timezone of the UK! Quarterly social meetups mean that you get some facetime with your colleagues & it’s always in a really nice European city too!
What experience do I need?
- You’ll need extensive experience building complex services in Node.js/TypeScript
- Experience building & implementing APIs
- Experience navigating event-driven architecture
- You need to have worked for a product business previously!
What’s in it for me?
As well as a base salary of £60,000 - £80,000 DOE, you’ll get access to incredibly generous stock options, a full home office budget, private health insurance & much more!
Think this is the role for you? Let’s get you set up for an interview!
