Backend/AI Infrastructure Engineer - Up to $180K base + Equity/Benefits

Amicus has recently partnered with a rapidly growing AI start-up in the content creation space.

They are currently searching for a San Francisco-based backend/AI infrastructure engineer who will own the end-to-end delivery of AI-powered backend systems and APIs.

Responsibilities:

  • Own end-to-end delivery of AI-powered backend systems and APIs.
  • Build and optimize infrastructure for machine learning inference and training workloads.
  • Design data pipelines that handle both real-time AI applications and batch processing.
  • Collaborate closely with our AI team to turn research breakthroughs into production systems.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of production experience building complex backend systems.
  • Strong proficiency in Golang.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript/NestJS and Python is preferred.
  • Solid understanding of building scalable, distributed systems that handle high-throughput AI workloads.
  • Experience with data pipelines, ETL processes, and working with large datasets (structured and unstructured).
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Based in the San Francisco Bay Area.
  • US Citizen or Greencard Holder.

Compensation:

  • $140K-$180K base salary.
  • Equity allocation.
