Core Python / Platform Engineer - Data Science Team - Fully Remote UK + Europe

The Company
Changing the way the travel industry makes strategic decisions; this company have developed an innovative BI tool to change the financial management decisions for large scale businesses.

Their tool inserts into commercial workflows to help customers be more effective in distribution and sales to reduce waste, use resources more efficiently and contribute to a better travel industry.

With around 40 people across the business, they’re now looking to double in size in the next 12 months after receiving Series A funding.

With a strong data science team, you’ll have chance to work amongst some of the best engineers across the market as you’ll be heavily involved in scaling the data driven platform.

The Role
As Senior Python / Platform Engineer, you’ll be working within the business Data Science team currently sitting at 8 Engineers split into two squads of 4 (4 Data Scientist / 4 Platform Engineers)

As a Platform engineer you will be working closely with the Data science team and will be tasked with supporting the teams as they look to build and deploy new models. One business critical project is to address the business compute time SLA as the business models are designed to run real time calculations across 100’s of CPU’s.

With a lot of autonomy, you’ll be deciding what you build, how you build it, and look after it in production once you’ve deployed it.

Skills

• Python 4 + Years commercial Experience
• Significant Experience with DevOps (Docker / Kubernetes)
• Experience working within a cloud architecture (AWS OR GCP)
• Previous TDD experience
• Experience with Scientific Python stack
• Prior experience working with a Data Science / Machine Learning Team

The company operate on a remote first basis. You can work fully remotely within Europe, or visit the London or Prague based office if you wish.
