CTO – Tech for good startup – Up to £120,000 + equity
I am currently working with a London based startup who are looking for a CTO to join them & lead their future technical direction!
Company
The business are currently at pre-seed stage & have spent the last five months building and scaling their product! Their platform is a SaaS product aimed at businesses who are looking to improve their carbon footprint and become fully sustainable. They help businesses to achieve this via their complex & incredibly data-driven dashboard – which is designed to be very easy for an end user to interact with!
The team consists of two engineers at the moment – both of which are very well experienced and are capable of working independently. Outside of this, you’ll be collaborating closely with the co-founders daily. The platform is getting a lot of traction at the minute and are looking to roll the product out in Q2 of this year!
Role
You will be responsible for all things technical in the business. This could range from making architectural decisions, selecting the best stack for a new feature to be built in, stakeholder discussions & even delving into the codebase to support your engineers in very rare cases!
The product is built in a full TypeScript stack but due to the seniority level you will be coming in at, they are happy for you to have any engineering background – ideally across a few languages to help when making decisions on tech to be used.
Due to the stage the business are at, they would love to speak with people who have either founded a tech startup or have been the CTO for a young tech business and helped their product and team to scale!

The role will operate on a hybrid model, with 2+ days in their London office per week.
Skills:
- Experience managing / leading cross-functional tech teams
- Background of helping to scale technical teams
- Confident communicating with non-technical stakeholders
- Excellent communication skills both remotely and when working onsite
