Mid – Principal Engineers / Python / Django / React / $140k - $300k / Fully Remote (US)

I am very excited to be working with a series B funded FinTech/HealthTech organisation who have raised $100m in total. They are entering their most exciting phase of growth as they look to make the push towards IPO and are looking for multiple Backend Python Engineers and multiple Full Stack Python/React engineers.

The company…

The organisation was founded over 10 years ago with the mission to support millions of individuals across the US get the right healthcare, as quick as possible and all at a reasonable cost. The way in which they achieve this is by building out a cutting-edge data analytics platform to create more transparency throughout the industry.

The company currently have 200 people working for them with 75 of them sitting across product and engineering. Over the past 2 years they have generated a lot of interest from some of the biggest names within the tech sector who are now working for them including one of the biggest venture capitalists across the US, a very senior engineering manager from Google and the co-founder of what is now, one the best post IPO tech companies over the past 10 years.

The beautiful aspect of this company is the mission comes straight from the heart of the founder and the experiences she has encountered throughout her lifetime. This bleeds through the entire organisation and every single individual is passionate about making a positive change.

The role…

As mentioned, the product and engineering team currently sits at 75 and the team reports in to ex Google employee who is now in place as the Head of Engineering. The core product is used to take understand healthcare data whilst ensuring compliance regulations are being followed to ensure data privacy. The engineering team works in close conjunction with the data team to take large complex datasets and convert them in to highly scalable and reliable API’s.

You will be responsible for a range of tasks that include designing and building scalable APIs and microservices, building features and tools for Data Science and Data Engineers to work with, continue to scale the organisation architecture, coach and mentor junior engineers and strive to grow a career within software engineering. To be considered you will have the following skills:

• Python
• Django
• React (not essential)
• SQL
• AWS or similar
• Terraform would be good

The organisation has very competitive budgets and are able to pay engineers between $140,000 - $300,000 base depending on the level of experience. This is coupled with stock options, great health benefits, 401k and more.
