Mid – Senior Engineers / Python / Django – Contract – $80 - $120 P/H / Fully Remote (US)

I am very excited to be working with a series B funded FinTech/HealthTech organisation who have raised $100m in total. They are entering their most exciting phase of growth as they look to make the push towards IPO and are looking for 4 contractors to come on board for initially 12 months and maintain one of their products and rewrite the codebase to make it more appealing to customers!

The organisation was founded over 10 years ago with the mission to support millions of individuals across the US get the right healthcare, as quick as possible and all at a reasonable cost. The way in which they achieve this is by building out a cutting-edge data analytics platform to create more transparency throughout the industry.

The company currently have 200 people working for them with 75 of them sitting across product and engineering. Over the past 2 years they have generated a lot of interest from some of the biggest names within the tech sector who are now working for them including one of the biggest venture capitalists across the US, a very senior engineering manager from Google and the co-founder of what is now, one the best post IPO tech companies over the past 10 years.

The role…

As mentioned, the product and engineering team currently sits at 75 and the team reports into ex Google employee who is now in place as the Head of Engineering. The core product is used to take understand healthcare data whilst ensuring compliance regulations are being followed to ensure data privacy. You and a team of 4 contractors will be working on a new product where you will be responsible for maintaining the current product as well as completely rewriting the codebase early next year

You will be responsible for a range of tasks that include designing and building scalable APIs and microservices, building features and tools for Data Science and Data Engineers to work with! be considered you will have the following skills:

• Python
• Django
• API development
• SQL
• AWS or similar

The client has a budget between $80 - $120 per hour and the contract lengths are 6-12 months initially but can be extended significantly! The organisation is a remote first company and you can be based anywhere in the US.
