Mid/Senior Python Engineer - Django / Flask / AWS - London Hybrid - 1 day onsite

Solving the issue of waste management in the UK’s food production industry is a huge task, and I have begun working with one company who are making massive strides in doing just this.

The Business

The business were founded a little over 7 years ago with the idea of tackling the UK increasing problem with food wastage at source!

Over the last 7 years they have done just this through connecting customers with producers directly they are able to prevent unnecessary waste in the UK’s food chain. 

The business is now looking to capitalise on their successes over the last few years and are now looking to scale there offers whilst developing new feature to improve customer and producers’ experiences.

The Role

As a backend engineer you will be joining the existing team of 5 internal engineers as the business is looking to bring all development inhouse and scale this team to 10 by Q2 next year!

The business have a number of core projects pipelined during this time and you will be working with external partners and internal stakeholder whilst building, testing and deploying Python web applications.

One such project is the development of a new stock management platform, using Python/ Django for application development, AWS/ ECS & Lambdas for deployment.

Technical requirements

• Minimum 1+ years’ commercial experience with Python
• Experience with a modern Python framework (Django / Flask)
• Experience with deployment using AWS (Lambdas / ECS)
• Cloud Developer experience (AWS / GCP / Azure)  

Process

• Introductory Call (30 minutes)
• Choice of either – Take home task OR Technical Interview
• Technical Panel Interview (1 hour)
• Final Interview (1 hour 30)
