Who are the company?
I’ve just partnered with this software business who have created an online video platform which is taking the consumer market by storm! Their product is a unique combination of video software alongside a marketplace platform which allows its users to interact with people in a totally different way than ever before.
The team is scaling massively at the moment – though they aren’t a small business by any means. There’s around 100 in the company overall – 40 of which are in the product team. They’re looking to add at least another four engineers to the team in the next three months so by the summer, they will have a dev team of around 25!
You can work fully remotely, forever. They have tech hubs across Europe but ultimately, they are happy for you to work wherever suits you best. You will need to be within +/- 3hrs of GMT as they have daily stand-ups that they like everyone to be present for.
What will I be working on?
You will be joining their dev team & working on a range of products across the next 12 months. Their key focus for the next few months is going to be on further improving customer retention – so they are wanting people to bring product ideas to the table to help better their retention rates. Once that has been sorted, your attention will turn to a completely greenfield project!
They want to implement a B2B function to their product offering by the end of this year, but this will need to be built completely from scratch.
They want engineers who are comfortable working across both the frontend & backend of web platforms as the whole team has full stack experience to some extent. The current team are slightly more frontend experienced so for their next few hires; they ideally want developers who are happy to cover more of the server side work.
The full tech stack you will have the chance to work with includes:
React, Node.js, TypeScript, GCP, Next.js, GraphQL, React Native, Jest.
What’s the process?
- First stage call with the Co-Founder & CTO – 30 minutes
- Technical interview with Engineering Lead (no technical test!)
How smooth is that for a process?!
And the package?
On offer is a salary between £60,000 - £80,000 DOE + a long list of benefits including flexible working hours, home office budget, 25 days holiday etc.
