Senior Python Engineer (Data Engineering) London Hybrid - £100,000 - £105,000

Job description

I am working with a brilliant young start-up who have recently launched their market leading product. They are now in a position where they are set to scale and are looking for a Senior Python Engineer (Data) to join the team.

Company

The company formed 3 years ago and have primarily been working on a consultancy basis for a range of different clients whilst they finished tweaking the product to ensure it was ready to use by customers themselves. Their customer base consists of manufacturers of complex hardware and is aimed to assist them in designing their hardware through an all-in-one automation tool in seconds. Since inception, they have grown to a team of around 10 with 6 of those sitting within the engineering team. Their launch has been an incredible success and they are now in a position where they are looking to scale the platform due to the increase in demand and continue growing the engineering team.

Role

The platform is built using complex AI algorithms and has been created by some of the smartest engineers in the UK. As a Senior Python Engineer (Data), you will be working in a tight knit team of 8 which also includes one of the Co-Founders & CTO. A big part of the role involves trying to replicate customers engineers when it comes to designing hardware therefore, the work involves a lot of data modelling and writing complex mathematical algorithms to enhance the performance of the product.  Being in its early stages, they are still working out the best tools to use to improve and scale the platform therefore, there is an opportunity for you to have a steer on the technical direction of the product. You will be required to follow best practices, potentially even improve them, participate in code reviews, take the lead on some sprints and more. Below is a snapshot of their tech stack, not all is required but you must have a strong understanding and experience across the entire Python eco-system.

  • Python
  • Django
  • MyPy
  • Docker
  • Artificial Intelligence
  • CI/CD
  • GraphQL

They love people who can demonstrate that they have a very analytical mindset, people that can understand the root of a problem and are passionate about solving those problems.

On offer is a salary between £100,000 - £105,000 + equity, 25 days holiday, flexible working hours and the ability to work fully remote.
