Senior / Lead Engineer - React/Node - Up to £90,000 – Remote

Who are the company?

You will be working for a business that have created a truly unique B2B platform that is changing the way that people approach voluntary work & do things to help those who are most in need. Businesses offer this platform to its employees as a perk / part of their benefits package. It allows users to sign up & connect to areas of charitable activities where they could offer their expertise – so it really is having a positive impact on the world!

Around three years into their journey, they are now in the process of scaling out their internal tech team – starting with you! This is happening now due to a £1m+ funding round which is taking place at the moment!

The business are operating remotely at the moment & are happy to consider remote workers for this role too! Ideally you will be based in the UK but if you’re based in an EU country, that’s cool too!

What will I be working on?

When you join the business, you will start by assisting in the build of a brand new user dashboard which is going to drastically improve the ease at which someone can sign up & be connected to suitable activities.

You’ll be reporting directly into the founders of the business – so you’ll need to be comfortable being in a senior role, as the first few months will see you completing projects as a sole contributor! As the team continues to scale, they like to promote internally – so you will have the chance to become their lead / VP in the future.

Because of the responsibility you will have, we ideally would like to speak with engineers who have experience working in small startups previously, as you truly understand the ‘startup life’! In terms of the technical side of the role, this is a pure full stack role and will see you work within all areas of the product – so experience within React, Node, TypeScript & AWS is key!

What’s the process?

• Initial chat with Founder to discuss business & wider opportunity – 30 mins
• Technical discussion with Technical Director – 60 mins
• Final interview to meet with other senior members of the team 30-40 mins
