Senior / Lead Engineer - TypeScript, React, Node - £80,000 - £100,000

The Role

I have an opportunity available for an experienced JavaScript / TypeScript developer to work for a rapidly growing technology business, who are truly innovating the Legal sector at the moment.

Due to a number of upcoming projects, as well as V2 of their product being due for release soon, they require an experienced engineer who is looking to move into a Lead role. You will be working in a product team of 15 people which includes engineers & QA testers. The goal is that the team will be split up into three squads by the end of the year – with you being the lead of one of them. The role will still be incredibly hands on though as having just gone through Series A funding, the business are still in startup phase and require all hands on deck!

One area of the product they are looking to improve is the DevOps & infrastructure tooling so if this is an area you have some form of expertise in, that would be amazing! Other areas of responsibility will include roadmap planning, architectural decisions & conducting code reviews.

The role overall is a relatively even split between frontend & backend work – so expertise across the full TypeScript stack is essential!

The company are growing at an impressive rate at the moment! They finished Series A funding at the end of 2021 & have grown naturally to a team of 40 in the business overall!

Their product is aimed specifically at large legal firms, as this industry is lagging far behind in terms of how technology has helped it to advance. They’ve built a SaaS solution which is used by the biggest names in the legal world to automate a number of core tasks which have typically been done by hand. This is helping them to not only improve on accuracy and overall efficiency but it’s helping them to save a lot of money too!

The company are operating on a remote basis & are happy to do so moving forwards. They do have a co-working space in London where they’ll be looking to do a monthly / quarterly meetup, so you’ll need to be based in the UK.
