Senior TypeScript Engineer - Fintech - Remote - £70,000 - £100,000

We have an amazing opportunity to join one of the UK’s best Fintech companies, building out their platform and expanding their services. As the company scales and takes on more clients they are looking to expand their engineering team. They are now seeking an experienced engineer with full stack TypeScript experience to join the 'tooling' team. 

THE COMPANY

The company in question are working on a new kind of payment portal linked with applications, allowing banks to communicate directly with vendors/customers in order to make purchases without the need for card details. By doing this it increases security, allows quicker transactions and also simply improves customer experience. They boast an impressive easy to use API which has cut down their customers payment times by over 85%.

They operate on a remote first basis and have an entity in the UK. If you're based outside of the UK, you can be employed via remote.com! 

THE ROLE

You will be heading straight into their Tooling team - building developer tools to improve experience across the team. You will be working alongside four other engineers - working on greenfield projects from day one! 

They use Node.js as their core backend tool but do have services written in Ruby & Go too. Experience in these is by no means essential but would be a benefit! 

Overall, the role will be 60/70% focused on backend development - with TypeScript used everywhere. Their engineers look after features end to end so this is something you need to be comfortable with! 

SKILLS

• Excellent TypeScript Experience
• Previous experience working with mission critical software
• Experience building both frontend & backend applications using TypeScript and / or Golang
• The ideal candidate will preferably have some experience working within Fintech, however this is not essential
