Cyber Security Engineer

Job description

Amicus has partnered with a leading provider of innovative solutions to the Intelligence Community. Following recent contract wins, they’re seeking a Cyber Security Engineer with Networking experience to join their team.

You must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain Top Secret Clearances.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement security frameworks; support system accreditation
  • Integrate security into IT/engineering designs
  • Conduct risk and vulnerability assessments; recommend mitigations
  • Monitor and respond to threats; implement incident response capabilities
  • Ensure policy compliance (e.g., NIST, ISO); maintain security procedures
  • Manage and optimize security tools (IDS/IPS, firewalls, endpoint protection)
  • Provide security training and awareness programs
  • Document incidents and compliance; deliver security reports


Required Experience:

  • 7+ years in cybersecurity or related roles
  • 4+ years in threat detection and protection
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Skilled in threat intel, incident response, and vulnerability management
  • Familiar with DoD cybersecurity standards (preferred)
  • CISSP, CISM, CEH certifications (preferred)
  • Experience developing cybersecurity tools/strategies


Salary: $140k–$160k (DOE) + Benefits
Location: Hybrid in VA (2 days per week)
