My client is looking for an experienced Engineering Manager / Tech Lead to help lead a team in developing and maintaining scalable enterprise SaaS applications that continue to revolutionize their industry

Their platform is being used by hundreds of thousands to help improve the quality of lives of workers across North America, improve carbon footprint, reduce food wastage, and most importantly bring overall stability to a critical food source for millions and millions of people.

With over $25m in funding to date, they are now looking to scale their engineering team further, starting with Senior Full Stack Engineers and Engineering Managers.

The Team:

You will be joining a remote company with an engineering first culture, in fact, almost 50% of their workforce sit within the engineering team. 50 in total, 28 in the engineering team.

The team is split across Frontend, Full Stack and Backend with a tech stack of JavaScript, TypeScript, Node and React.

You will the mentor and leader for one of their teams, working closely with the VP of Engineering and product team to build scalable, performant and cloud native solutions to address client needs.

Your role within the team:

• Oversee architectural decisions and technical leadership within your development team.
• Your primary focus will be making their core system as scalable and user-friendly as possible which will impact millions of people across North America.
• Work closely with product, design, and sales teams to deliver new greenfield projects and enhance products.
• Work on complex, real-life problems with your team and advocate for engineering-specific roadmap item.
• Help your team deliver the best possible user experiences to hundreds of thousands of users which you know will help improve the lives of so many across North America

Technical Requirements:

• Comfortable building features in React and Node.
• Prior experience leading teams, mentoring others and performing code reviews.
• Ideally 4+ years in software development, whether in a Frontend or Full Stack capacity.
• Knowledge or experience with databases such as MongoDB or PostgreSQL
• Experience deploying onto AWS.
