Senior Frontend Developer –Mapping Software - Angular – Remote Worldwide - €100k  

THE COMPANY

I am working with a Scale up company who’s mission is to supercharge growth in Africa and the developing world.

You will be creating a mapping software using Angular and MapboxGL.js to identify areas of the developing world where there is infrastructure in place which could be utilised or improved. The data is then used to improve the electrification, healthcare, agricultural to channel investments, run projects and measure impacts.

The company has been established for over 4 years and is now entering a crucial growth phase following investment. You will be part of a development team of 6 which is set to double by the end of the year.

THE ROLE

The data infrastructure project you will be working on will have an impact on over 2 billion people’s lives and you will be working alongside the European Space Agency. You will be integrating data streams such as satellite imagery, survey data, sensory data which will allow for infrastructure outcomes to be predicted which will help stakeholders make key decisions.

This role is perfect for someone who wants to work on an exciting project which will change the lives of people in the developing world. Due to the size of this companies scale up you will join as a Senior developer but have the opportunity to fast track your career.  

Experience with Mapbox or other mapping-based software is important but not essential, we don’t need you to be an expert in everything, but we need you to want to be. To want to learn and build on your technical knowhow. We focus more on what you’ve done with technology as opposed to what tools you’ve done it with.

Ideally, you’ll have some experience of the following:

  • Angular
  • TypeScript
  • MapboxGL.js

THE PROCESS
