Senior Backend Engineer – Node/TypeScript – Remote – Up to £115,000

I am back working with one of our long term clients - an industry leading Fintech & Data Analytics organization who are on the lookout for an experienced backend engineer to join their ranks.

The Company

The business specializes within the research and data market space and target a wide variety of industries. They’re a tech first business and their platforms are used by large corporations – a customer base which is expanding rapidly, hence the need for more engineers!

The business currently consists of 50 people spread throughout Europe, with 15 engineers in the business overall. The teams are split up into product squads which each of those focusing on a specific product within the suite.

The business are fully remote & are happy to consider any applications from people within the UK or EU!

The Role

They are currently working on 3 separate data resourcing and analytics platforms – however you will be working across one of their core products & will be taking technical ownership of it alongside the frontend lead! This product offers its users a simple to use dashboard that collates & displays complex data in a really easy to read manner – sounds easy enough but it’s an incredibly complex product behind the scenes! Because of its huge success and popularity with clients, they have decided to commit more resources to it, allowing more clients to sign up & for them to be able to build new features more quickly.

The platform is built in a full TypeScript stack – with a React frontend, Node backend and is entirely hosted on AWS serverless. They use GraphQL for API integrations too. Your role will be focused purely on the server side & architecture of the product – so no need for you to have any experience with the frontend frameworks.

You will be joining as a Senior Engineer but as the team continues to grow, there will be the opportunity to progress to Tech Lead if this is a route you want to pursue.

• Experience mentoring junior developers

• Postgres

Package

A salary of up to £115,000 is on offer with a generous benefits package (including equity options) + 100% remote working in Europe.

If you are based in outside of the UK, you will be hired on an employee basis via a third party – not on a B2B basis!
