Senior Data Engineer

SENIOR DATA ENGINEER – UP TO €120K – REMOTE – UNLIMITED HOLIDAYS & SHARES
THE COMPANY
Rethinking, redesigning and rebuilding a multi TRILLION dollar industry is no easy feat. Add into that the challenge of making it all sustainable and profitable? It’s not for the faint of heart. But it’s something that this impressive little team (around 50 in total) have taken on and thrived with!
In your everyday life, you will be interacting with the results of this challenge without having a clue about all that goes into getting it there.
THE ROLE
Building a nifty product used by clients all over the world, from billion dollar businesses, Fortune500 companies and more generic trades suppliers, to allow them to identify opportunities & win huge contracts before their competition even gets a whiff of an opening. The product focuses on generating business and allowing clients to run their entire business generation and management functions in one super clever platform – massively increasing their workflows, employee count, sustainability impacts and last, but by no means least, their profits!
You’ll be a Senior Data Engineer building out the entire data structures for a product that relies purely on…you guessed it, DATA ?
Coming in as their first full time Data Engineer, you will be bringing your wealth of experience of designing and implementing data processes and driving projects to the business and you’ll be well and truly heard. Ideally, you’re open to helping them build a team around your skills and what needs you identify.
They have a pipeline (a pretty advanced one) that is currently laying dormant. You will be deep-diving into this, modernising it, improving efficiency and scalability and building more traction. The pipeline will need to handle millions of documents each day so you’ll be doing lots of parsing activities, extracting data with machine learning techniques and clustering this data.

You’ll need:
- Around 6+ years professional experience as a Data Engineer with Python
- Initiative – you will be leading on technical decisions, running projects as well as getting your hands dirty with the coding – so we need you to be confident in your approach
- ETL expertise – no specific tools, you can pick them! But you will need to be great at building them
- Wizard-like knowledge of a number of databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, KosmosDB etc.)
- Other bits and bobs aren’t super important so we can get to that another time.
