Senior Frontend Engineer (Animation Specialist) - Up to $200K base + equity/benefits

Amicus has recently partnered with a rapidly growing AI start-up in the content creation space.

They are currently searching for a San Francisco-based frontend engineer who is skilled in UX and animation development.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement complex animation systems using finite state machines.
• Manage intricate UI state transitions across multi-step AI workflows.
• Build scalable, performant UIs that handle real-time AI streaming, complex data, and progressive loading states.
• Make foundational decisions around frontend infrastructure, component libraries, and design patterns.

Requirements:

• 6+ years of production experience building complex, user-facing applications.
• Expert with FSMs (e.g. XState, Zustand) and complex transitions.
• Deep understanding of FLIP technique, hardware acceleration, and custom choreography.
• Expertise in Typescript.
• Experience with advanced animation via Framer Motion, React Spring, or custom engines.
• Based in the San Francisco Bay Area.
• US Citizen or Greencard Holder.

Compensation:

• $160K-$200K base salary.
• Equity allocation.
