Software Engineer - Python / Django / TypeScript - Hybrid - Up to £85,000

I have recently begun working with a fantastic London based B2C Health-Tech scale up who are currently looking to expand their technical team by 3 developers. The company we founded just over 5 years ago and have been live for around 2 years with 1000’s of current customers all reviewing the products very highly.

Company

The company are currently going through their scale up phase and are looking to invest significantly into their technical team which currently consists of 10 developers with 5 Backend Engineers, 2 Frontend Engineers and 3 in product / management. In addition to the technical team the business is supported by a number of pharmacist and dermatologist to ensure each customer is getting an industry leading product.

Through the use of their subscription product the company are able to take 10s of variables, from medical history to local pollution into account when prescribing their products. The company manages the whole process from manufacturing to distribution meaning every batch / product is tailored to the specific customer it is for.

Role

As a Backend Engineer you will be working alongside the current 2 factory engineers working on multiple existing and greenfield projects. A few examples of these are, developing tools for interfacing with the physical machines being used manufacturing process, tools for laser engraved prescriptions and automated distribution systems projects. Additionally, the business prides themselves on being environmentally sustainable and are always investing into R&D on how they can continually improve their products. Along with greenfield project you will have the chance to redevelop / scale existing architecture as they company is looking to go international in the coming 6 months.

Requirements

• Strong Python Development Experience
• Python Web Development (Flask / Fast API / Django)
• Ideally experience with TypeScript 
• Database Experience (ideally MySQL)
• Cloud Experience (AWS / GCP)

Interview 

1. Initial Interview with Head of Engineering (45 Minutes)
2. Take Home Task 
3. Final Interview (in person or remote) - Technical and team fit - 2 hours
