My AI client are continuing their growth and are looking to hire their first Security Engineer to take ownership over scaling their entire security operations.

Role
Currently, the business does not have a department dedicated solely to the security operations of the company. They have built out a framework of anti-virus procedures, threat and anomaly detection, cloud security and more. This has currently been developed by one individual and the support of a third party MSP. However, they now need an experienced individual to take ownership of the department as they look to grow to 500+ employees over the next 18-24 months.
You will be responsible for driving auditing initiatives like SOC2, NIST, GDPR and more. You will also be responsible for managing the MSP partnership and defining the roadmap for the security team over the course of the next 3-5 years. In time, there will be a need to build out a team around you therefore, prior leadership experience would be valuable. To be considered, you will need the following:

- 5+ years in a security focused role
- Prior SOC2 auditing experience
- NIST 800171 would be advantageous
- The ability to scale security operations in a small-mid sized environment
- Security credentials such as CISSP or similar
