We made it!! We made it through year one. It doesn’t sound a big deal, but to us, it’s huge. Making the decision to start Amicus Recruitment in one of the most competitive recruitment markets ever was an extremely brave decision, but we all had confidence in our ability and although there were many who wanted us to fall flat on face, we’ve managed to meet our objectives and have set ourselves up for growth in 2018. If that’s not a reason to celebrate, then I don’t know what is.
Enter Dublin. If you’ve never been to Dublin, then you should. It’s brilliant! The people are so friendly, the music is class and more importantly, they created Guinness! Having been to Dublin a few times myself for those very reasons, I knew we’d have a fun weekend and come back with many brilliant memories.
What we didn’t realise when we booked was that it was going to be enhanced 10-fold by the fact we booked the same day that the Rugby was on and Wales were playing Ireland in Dublin! If there’s anything other than Guinness and Music that the Irish love, it’s Rugby. The atmosphere was unbelievable! Here’s a few pictures from the first day.
Without going into too much detail, there was plenty of laughter and tears during the first day, but I won’t say which was which, or whether it was related to the Rugby/Guinness/Music/love of Dublin! :)
Day two started surprisingly early and we headed straight to the Living Room for Breakfast, a few games of pool, and a day of football including the Carabao Cup Final. We were joined by a couple of Shaun’s friends/family who were a pleasure to meet and shared a few drinks and laughs with. After a full afternoon of football, we headed out to the Temple Bar.
We’re looking for recruitment consultants to join us in our new offices in Handforth, so if you want to be on our next annual trip, get in touch with us today.
