Senior Back-End Engineer – AI Autonomous Driving - €70-90k Per year – Fully Remote in Germany

The role

In this role you will be joining a motivated and ambitious team, building, and delivering a cutting-edge autonomous driving product.
As a Backend Software Engineer your main tasks will be ensuring the stability and scalability of their web-based annotation tooling. It is key that you are able to show an open-mind development, you will mainly focus on building the underlying cloud services but also help to improve the web application. You engage with task & workflow orchestration systems, annotation web application, user management & IAM and many more aspects of our highly scalable services. You are an expert in building a scalable backend system but don’t hesitate to work in the surrounding areas. As a team, we build, ship, and operate our products to make AI accessible.


The Tech Stack

• Frontend: TypeScript, Vue.js, Vuex, Vite, Jest, WebGL
• Backend: TypeScript, Node.js, Express, MongoDB, Python, Docker, Kubernetes, Google Cloud


Your tasks

• You build products and features in a microservice architecture with a strong focus on scalability, decoupling and robustness within an experienced team
• You optimize services for performance and scalability
• You write clean, maintainable, and well tested code and participate in code reviews
• You interact with Site Reliability Engineers & extend metrics sent out by our services
• You build applications and improve existing services, that make management of our annotation projects more efficient


Requirements

• Back-End Engineer with strong skills in Node.js/JavaScript/Typescript stack – 4/5 years’ experience in Software Engineering
• Experience designing and working in cloud native architectures
• Strong experience working with databases – e.g., Postgres and MongoDB
• Experience in Python is a plus
• Cloud experience is desirable – Ideally GCP
• Experience working with tools such as Docker and Kubernetes is desirable
• Ideally someone who has worked on data-driven projects/SaaS applications
